First off, you can call me Jules!
I am a UX designer with a background in illustration and graphic design. I approach design with curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for how people see the world—because I’ve seen it from many angles myself.
I grew up in Tokyo, spent some time in the Caribbean, and now call Seattle home. These experiences taught me that everyone brings a different lens to the table. My strength lies in identifying where those perspectives intersect and creating design solutions that feel intuitive and inclusive for everyone.
I believe every person you meet has something to teach you.
That belief grounds me in life and my design process: learn first, then act. Whether I’m sketching wireframes, building out flows, or advocating for accessibility, I aim to design experiences that feel as thoughtful as they are seamless.
My work often touches on sustainability and community—both ecological and human. One of my favorite past projects was a collaboration with the City of Seattle and a local nonprofit to design street banners in the Wedgwood neighborhood. Think Big Wedgwood aims to raise awareness around racial inequality .
